DNA Mark On Your Property - The New Crime Prevention

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

By Digby Farquart Ive looked at a number of DNA mark kits and outlined my findings here. As this is not an advertisement, I have excluded brand names and trademarks. Prices vary from 10.00 up to around 50.00 and it really is a case of you get what you pay for. The DNA mark kit that comes in at 9.99 is a cheap looking felt tip pen, the type you buy for your kids as a throwaway. The real deterrent is the sticker that warns a would-be burglar that property is DNA marked. The pen has no nib as such; the busy end looks just like the fibre wadding where the felt tip ink would be and carries a clear medium that transfers your DNA to the property to be marked. The DNA mark is invisible. How would the Police find an almost invisible mark? You might ask. The makers suggest; The client tells the officer to obtain a 10 or 15 X magnifying glass and a strong torch light and shine the light at an angle of 45 degrees where the few microns depth of the mark can be made to show up. There are a few serious flaws such as police time and logistics. If police discover a number of DVD players in the home of a known burglar, they will more than likely scan it a black lamp looking for UV property marking but your invisible DNA wont show. It is likely that you will not see your property returned. However, there could be a string of happy coincidences such as you telling your local village bobby that you have been burgled and all your property has your DNA on it, he happens to stop someone with property that he remembers belonging to you and using his 10 or 15 X magnifying glass and a strong torch light and shine the light at an angle of 45 degrees, sees your secret mark! The good old fashioned British Bobby at its best. Sadly Dixon of Dock Green has long gone. There are cost implications in recovering DNA and converting it to evidence, the Forensic Science Laboratory conducts this and the police are faced with the bill (pardon the pun). They are likely to opt for traditional property recovery techniques such as proving to the burglar that its a fair cop and asking you to physically identify your property with serial numbers, photograph or even receipts. The 9.99 kit is available through a network of individuals who have paid 10 for a license to sell the DNA mark kits locally. The resellers are not security checked and can buy their business opportunity via internet auction sites and other advertisements. 10 gets them into the security business! A police recognised product is Smart Water Tracer, designed for the protection of domestic and household possessions as well as commercial assets. The unique forensic fingerprint is practically invisible to the human eye. However it fluoresces under ultraviolet light that police use as standard, and is virtually impossible to completely remove. The cost is around 45.00 and claims to reduce the risk of burglary by up to 83%. Police support SmartWater as it has enabled them to obtain a 100% conviction rate in court. The kit also includes warning labels to deter thieves and it takes just 20 minutes to mark property in a typical house. The choices are spending 10 on the unknown or 45 on a commercially recognised property marking kit.Back to DNA Marking kit. For around 50 there is another DNA Property marking kit, this one boasts he UK Secured By Design accreditation, not easy to get and very important. This too comes with warning stickers the unique DNA resides in a pot of special glue to apply to your valuable items of property. Once this glue is applied, removal of the entire DNA marking from an item is almost impossible. It is invisible to the human and can only be located with a UV lamp and remnants of the DNA will easily remain in crevices and uneven surfaces. The added benefit is that the DNA code along with the customers details are held on a secure LPCB (The Loss Prevention Certification Board ) approved database and allows recovered property to be traced back to the owner after analysis. Forensic testing will pick up even a tiny molecule of glue and can be used to determine whom the item really belongs. There is a DNA Print kit that retails around 40 with a patented and technically advanced UV product that is saturated with selected sequences of DNA strands embedded in the security ink. By simply placing your thumbprint on the objects that you wish to protect and/or writing your personal code or number on them using the DNA UV Security Writing Pen, you will have peace of mind knowing that if items are ever lost or stolen, and subsequently recovered, they can be scanned by the DNA UV Detector to illuminate your invisible marks and prove ownership. This DNA print kit has more items than the others mentioned, the kit includesDNA UV Security Ink Pad to DNA mark hundreds of objects with your personal thumbprint, DNA UV Security Writing Pen this is designed to invisibly write your personal information that can identify you as the owner, DNA UV Detector with Pen to Illuminate invisible marks. Inventory Ledger to record the location and type of invisible marks placed on your property. And Tamper-Proof Tags to alert the police that recovered items are tagged with DNA UV security markings. DNA was used to protect all licensed merchandise for 2000 Summer Olympics in Sidney, Australia, the work of famous artists such as Joe Barbara (The Flintstone’s) and Thomas Kincaid and the property of a major film studio. It was also used to protect items from athletes like Mohammad Ali, and Mark McGuires famous 70th home run ball. Now you can take advantage of this cutting edge technology to protect your property with indisputable identification. Digby Farquart is a UK security consultant and crime prevention advisor. Why Luxury Baby Gifts?

Monday, August 27th, 2007

By Terri Korolev Luxury is a word that evokes feelings of beauty and opulence. Imagine a luxury yacht or a luxurious cashmere sweater and you immediately think of magnificence and indulgence. But how about luxury baby gifts? In the past you may not have heard the word luxury linked to baby items, but it most definitely is today. And why shouldnt it be after all, babies have the most delicate, precious skin that deserves to be treated with the utmost care. If youre in the market for a baby gift or something for your own child, consider something more luxurious, or high-end, this time. To many, the word luxury is synonymous with expensive, but there are many luxury baby goods that dont come with a luxurious price tag. Instead, the problem may lie more in finding these more affordable items as opposed to affording them. Some luxury baby items tend to be made by well-known, popular retailers that are found in high-end shopping centers or big cities items that only the very wealthy can afford to splurge on. But there are more independently owned companies cropping up that specialize in luxury items such as all-natural, organic, and handmade baby products. These can also come with high price tags, but tend to be more affordable than popular retailers. Less-pricey luxury items can be found at smaller boutiques or online retailers that specialize in high-end baby items. These items may not always be labeled as luxury items, so youll have to scout them out on your own. Just look for products of the utmost quality such as handmade blankets with a high thread-count or made from organic fabric; hand-painted wooden toys with non-toxic paint; all-natural or organic bath items using calming ingredients such as lavender and chamomile; and special touches such as fabric-covered photo albums or frames, satin-lined clothing or a beautifully presented journal where parents can save their most precious memories. Of course luxury items can come with a steep price tag, but nowadays beautifully made luxury items come in many price ranges. Just be on the look out for smaller shops that take the time and care to focus on making beautiful, thoughtful baby items. And look around for what fits your budget. You may be surprised to find that most boutiques carry both affordable and higher priced items all under one roof. And when you shop at an online boutique or neighborhood shop you can also feel good about yourself youll be helping to keep some of the most creative and talented people in business. Relationship Advice: When Is Violence Not Only Appropriate, But Necessary?

Saturday, August 25th, 2007

By Steve Roberts Yup. That title is one of those trick questions. The answer is NEVER. Violence is NEVER appropriate, and NEVER necessary. No, I’m not talking about the very extreme cases where police are apprehending a criminal, or the military is doing what the military does. I’m talking about a husband and wife, lovers, friends, or people in general trying to live together as best we can. Violent behavior is the opposite of what we are trying to accomplish in these normal relationships. Violence thrives on fear and intimidation. It bolsters a weak sense of self at the expense of others, often hurting the most vulnerable ones among us. There are only two feelings in the universe: love and fear. We try to live our relationships out of love by fostering respect, compassion, kindness, forgiveness and understanding of mutual limitations. Violence comes from the fear side of life. It comes out of a fear of loss, a fear of no more options, and the fear of someone “bigger” making me even “smaller.” Which would you rather live out of: your love or your fear? Silly question. As humans we are in fear much of the time. We try to mask it, but it’s still there. Why else do we struggle and strive to compete and win? Just because it’s fun? Or, because we believe there is not enough to go around and we better get our share first? Isn’t it nice to come home from the rat race and feel safe, loved, and valued? Of course, you may not feel this way at home. Have you or your partner ever thrown something in anger? Put a fist through a wall? Shoved your partner? Threatened harm even though you never raised a finger? Ever filled your eyes with hate and loathing? Violence is so much more subtle than we realize. So many times I have heard a person (usually a male) tell me, “I didn’t touch her. I just punched the wall.” Here’s the point: The IMPLICATION of hitting a wall is that YOU COULD do the same thing to the other person’s face. Read that again because it’s slippery. Aggressors always try to explain away their implied violence by saying nothing actually happened. But something did actually happen. Someone was intimidated and threatened. And that is violence. And it is often the beginning of the overt violence that comes later. Violence doesn’t work for couples, or anyone else. I rarely meet a couple that didn’t get together with some hope for being loved and accepted as they are. This emotional intimacy requires vulnerability and openness. It can’t happen where any kind of intimidation exists. So, give it up. Watch out for it. Don’t put up with it. Get help. I watched a close friend this week come close to a lethal ending. I don’t want this for anyone else, least of all you, dear reader. It can happen, and it does. I wish for you to never have to be challenged by such violence, either subtly or overtly. But if you are, I want you to confront it in love and maturity, right now! Nokia N76 - Style Hits N Series

Thursday, August 23rd, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Carly_Charu]Carly Charu Nokia’s N series mobile phones are known for their impeccable multimedia functions and high end connectivity tools. Though all of the previous N series models were masters in functionality, seldom any serious attention given to their style quotient. Things have suddenly started to change as the ‘geeky’ N series mobile phones are all set to change their common perception as bulky smartphones. Their latest member the Nokia N76 manages to sport a chic slim dimension while maintaining the level of mobile multimedia services expected of a N series smartphone. The Nokia N76 is mere 13.7 mm and weighs just 115 grams very light for a 3G smartphone. Currently, two colour variant of the Nokia N76 is available red and black, though other colour solution can not be denied. The handset looks much like a RAZR phone since both are slim clamshell, however, the Nokia N76 has an upper hand over any of RAZR phone in terms of its features. The handset’s built quality could be accessed by the displays on use a 1.3 inch, 262k coloured TFT screen and a 16.7 million coloured QVGA TFT based primary display. Quite naturally, the Nokia N76 is fitted with one of the best 2.0 megapixel camera module laced with Carl Zeiss Optics Tesser lens. Apart from it, the Nokia N76 also features a secondary VGA camera incorporated for the purpose of video calling. The Symbian smartphone can achieve this feat with its built in 3G technology. In absence of 3G networks, the triband GSM handset can still provide data connectivity via it built in GPRS and EDGE technology. Presence of Bluetooth and USB makes it very easy to synchronize and transfer files in seconds including media files to be played on the on board music player. The handset’s 26 Mb of user memory pool can be further expanded using an external memory card, thus making enough space for everything you’d like to carry on your Nokia N76. Choose From A Host Of Discount Wedding Dresses

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

By Donald Saunders There has never been a better time to buy a wedding dress. As couples are moving away from the age-old church white wedding and getting married in ever more varied and unique locations, the whole style of weddings is changing and along with it brides are choosing just about every style of wedding dress imaginable. Not only does this allow you to bring out your true personality in your choice of dress, but it also allows you, in a world of ever growing costs, to take advantage of the many discount wedding dresses on offer today. Brides are no longer tied to their local bridal wear store, or to ordering through a bridal magazine, and can take advantage of a wide variety of stores including the burgeoning number of outlet stores. Outlet stores are great and you’ll find a super selection of discount wedding dresses. In many cases you can find some amazing offers on last season’s dresses and, let’s be honest about it, how many people are going to know whether your dress is from this season, last season or even the season before last! At the end of the day the only thing that really matters is that you look stunning and feel great in the dress that you choose. Talking about last season’s dresses, you’ll also often find some fabulous offers at your local bridal wear store from time to time as they clear out and make way for new stock. This can be a good choice if you decide that you don’t want to depart too much from tradition and feel that a white gown, complete with veil and train, is the route you’d like to take. Another great place to find discount wedding dresses is through your local newspaper, or even at garage sales. Many brides decide that they do not wish to keep their wedding dress and will often re-coup some of the cost of their wedding by selling their dress privately. In this case you can often pick up an expensive designer dress at less than half its original price. One idea would be to opt for your mother’s, or even grandmother’s dress, where these are available. Apart from the pleasure that this can often bring both to the bride and her mother or grandmother, this option can bring the cost of your wedding dress down considerably. Professional cleaning, alteration and perhaps some additions to the dress to update its style and look including perhaps adding some lace, beading, trimming, studs or sequins will come in well under the cost of buying a new or worn-once dress. One final, but excellent, option is to find your perfect wedding dress on the Internet. The Internet is fast becoming the world’s biggest shopping mall and the lower overheads for many businesses selling online often means that they can pass on some terrific discounts to their buyers. Of course you’ll need to check out any online supplier carefully and, in particular, read through their terms of business including their policy for returns and refunds, but shopping online nowadays can be a great way to find discount wedding dresses. They Don’t Make ‘em Like They Use To

Monday, August 20th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Joshua_Daly] Joshua Daly In a society that relentlessly bombards the you with advertising, you are constantly hearing about New and Improved or Better than Ever. Although many of the big drug companies claim to be producing the most innovative new drugs, they are just hiding behind there smoke screen of advertisement. In this article well look at just how effective are new drugs versus the old ones and what has led America to producing less innovative prescription medication. The decline of less innovative prescription medication began in the 1980s. In these years, the pharmaceutical industry experienced immense growth. This led to the growth of power and influence of the major pharmaceutical. Back before this period of rapid expansion, drug companies would grant money to a research center or university to conduct the clinical trails and tests to determine whether the new drug was safe. They sit back and cross there fingers, and hope the results were good and would support their marketing campaign for their new medication. But since the period of rapid expansion that gave the drug companies more money and power, drug companies have been conducting their own clinical trails. Pharmaceutical companies conducting there own clinical trails in and of itself are not so bad if the tests are still done subjectively, with no bias to the outcome. But this has led to the drug companies controlling every facet of the study, from the design of the clinical trails to the analysis of the data to the decision of whether or not to publish the results. This has made the results of the trails on new drugs very susceptible to what the drug companies want. For example, one of the recent drug trails that were not sponsored by a drug company was a study called ALLHAT. (Antihypertensive and Lipid Lowering Treatment to Prevent Heart Attack Trail) This was an eight year trial involving 42,000 people that studied the treatment of high blood pressure medication comparing 4 types of drugs. 1. Norvasc - calcium channel blocker that is produced by Pfizer 2. Cardura - alpha-adrenergic blocker which is prodiced by Pfizer 3. Zestril - angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor sold by Astra 4. Zeneca - generic diuretic (water pill) that has been on the market for 50 years. The results, the diuretic was just as good for lower blood pressure and was actually better at preventing some of the worst complications of high blood pressure; heart disease and stroke. The director of the Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute concluded the study by saying, ALLHAT shows that the diuretics are the best choice to treat hypertension, both medically and economically. Diuretics were priced at about $37 a year in 2002 as apposed to $715 dollars for Norvasc. If Diuretics are better than the best medicines offered by the big drug companies how come we have never heard about them? Maybe because they are all produced through generic manufacturers who dont spend money on marketing. I hope this article has shed some light on this relatively shady subject. If you would like to read more helpful articles like this or need help locating your discount medication, then please join our pharmacy advocacy website Premier [http://www.premiermexicanpharmacies.com/onlinemexicanpharmacies.html] Mexican Pharmacies.com Patents allow drug companies exclusive rights to charge whatever they want while the patent is active. When the patent expires, other companies can begin to make generics of the formerly patented drug which drives the price down. So what the drug companies do is use the exact same drug, test it with the FDA for a slightly different use, slap a new and improved label on it, switch their marketing to the new product that holds the new patent, and call it a day. For example, Schering-Ploughs patent on its money drug Claritin was about to run out. So they retested the same drug with the FDA for indoor allergy relief as well as seasonal allergy relief and called it Clarinex. They then launched a huge promotional campaign to switch users from Claritin to Clarinex because it was an improvement over the existing drug even though it is exactly the same. It was approved for that use only because they decided to test it for that use; if they would have tested Claritin for indoor allergy use it would have had the same results as Clarinex. If drug companies are not producing new drugs to help us because they are to busy trying to keep their prices high on existing drugs, then why support them by buying their drugs at unreasonably high prices? Healing The Erosions In Your Esophagus With Nexium

Monday, August 20th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Heather_Colman] Heather Colman Nexium has come as a wonderful relief in treating heartburn in acid reflux disorders. Acids are released in the stomach for digestion of food. When some of this acid persistently flows back into the food tube, the esophagus, its lining get damaged leading to a condition known as erosive esophagitis. You suffer from persistent heartburn. Changing diets also do not help. Just one pill a day of Nexium can relieve you of the pain and agony of severe and continuous heartburn. Nexium generically is esomeprazole magnesium and is available as a Delayed- Release capsule for oral administration. If you are having typical heartburn symptoms on 2 or more days per week in spite of treatment and diet change, you need to consult a doctor to find out whether you are suffering from acid reflux disease. Only a Doctor can confirm whether the lining of your esophagus has been damaged due to back flow of stomach acids in this food pipe for frequent relaxes of the lower esophageal sphincter. If this lining has been eroded, you have the condition known as erosive esophagitis and your heartburn is due to this cause. Nexium administration can heal these erosions in the esophagus in 4 to 8 weeks. However, results may vary depending on your age and extent of damage. Nexium therapy is often associated with minor side effects. Over 8500 patients in the United States and over 6500 patients in Europe and Canada underwent clinical trials to ascertain the safety of Nexium. Near about 3000 patients were studied in long-term trials. The tolerance, both in short-term and long-term trials were found to be fairly satisfactory. Nexium was administered in various doses in patients with confirmed erosive esophagitis. For all dosage levels, some headache (+/- 1%) was reported. The intensity varied according to the level of the dose. Very mild diarrhea was also noticed but it had no relation with dosage level. Some nausea, flatulence, abdominal pain and dry mouth symptoms were reported in the trials. However, similar symptoms also appear in patients on omeprazole medication for stomach disorders. Marketed by AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, Nexium is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) and is well indicated for the treatment of heartburn in erosive esophagitis and other symptoms associated with GERD. It suppresses gastric acid secretion in the stomach by blocking the final step in acid production. Nexium can also be prescribed with antibiotics for eradication of H.Pylori that reduces the risk of duodenal ulcer recurrence. A very recent study conducted with more than 1000 patients with erosive esophagitis show Nexium (esomeprazole) to be more effective in healing the disorder than lansoprazole (Prevacid). Results of this study has been published in July, 2006 issue of Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology. According to Dr. Kenneth DeVault, MD, Director of Gastrointestinal Research, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, Jacksonville, Florida, and the lead study investigator, “Esomeprazole therapy was able to control both mucosal damage and reflux symptoms” in healing the erosions in the esophagus. Do You Have First Aid Protection?

Saturday, August 18th, 2007

By Larry Mauger Every day there is an emergency of some sort. It could be an earthquake, fire, auto accident, some natural disaster or just a cut finger. Everyone needs to be prepared for an emergency before it happens. Most people are so busy with everyday life that they neglect to be prepared for first aid emergencies. Just imagine playing your favorite sport, hiking on your vacation, riding a bicycle or doing your favorite thing and an emergency happens. Are you prepared for this emergency? Most people would not because they did not think ahead. First aid kits will allow you to be prepared for any emergencies. A well stocked first aid kit, kept within easy reach, is a necessity in every home. It would be wise to not only keep a first aid kit in your house but also in your car. If you purchase a first aid kit be sure your kit has enough supplies for the entire family. If you choose to assemble your own, choose a container that is roomy, durable, easy to carry and simple to open. Plastic tackle boxes or containers for art supplies are ideal. If you decide to assemble your own first aid kits be sure to include the following items in each of your kits: *first-aid manual * sterile gauze * adhesive tape * adhesive bandages in several sizes * elastic bandage * antiseptic wipes * soap * antibiotic cream (triple-antibiotic ointment) * antiseptic solution (like hydrogen peroxide) * hydrocortisone cream (1%) * acetaminophen and ibuprofen * extra prescription medications (if the family is going on vacation) * tweezers * sharp scissors * safety pins * disposable instant cold packs * calamine lotion * alcohol wipes or ethyl alcohol * thermometer * plastic gloves (at least 2 pairs) * flashlight and extra batteries * mouthpiece for administering CPR (can be obtained from your local Red Cross) * your list of emergency phone numbers * blanket (stored nearby) Upon completion of your first aid kit to make sure you read the manual so you will know how to use the contents of your kit. Always store your first aid kit in a place that is easily accessible. Be sure to check your first aid kit regularly to restock any missing items or replaced medications that have expired. Be smart, Be ready, Be prepared because the life you save may be your loved one. Author’s biography: Larry Mauger is the supplier of First Aid Kits and an assortment of Survival Kits. Are You Thinking About Moving to a Small Town?

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007

By Susan Dunn One of the fun things about midlife is we often have the opportunity to move for the first time in a long time. Maybe the kids have finally left home, or youre retiring from a job or career, or planning to start your own Internet business so can finally live anywhere. Whatever your reasons for longing for a small town, here are some assumptions to check out before you make the big move: IT’S CHEAPER TO LIVE IN A SMALL TOWN. Well if its Daphne, Alabama, yes, but if its Grapevine, Keller, or Fredericksburg, Texas, no. Go here to check out house prices all over the country: http://houseandhome.msn.com/homes/homesoverview.aspx. And remember, low housing costs generally mean lower incomes. THE SCHOOLS WILL BE BETTER. Or safer, more disciplined, or less drugs. Do a reality-check. Some rural schools are poorly funded. And if your children are out of school, you may still be expecting the sort of excellent community education you had back home. When the schools are bad, the libraries usually are too. Does this matter to you? ‘RURAL’ MEANS ‘PARADISE’. The Chamber of Commerce in one rural community in the Midwest provides scratchnsniffs of manure for people considering moving there. Theyre tired of people complaining once they move there about two things common to farming communities animal smells, and people revving up their tractors at daybreak. JUST LIKE WHERE YOU LIVE NOW ONLY SMALLER? In Lillian, Alabama, population 4800+, the median age is 56.6. IT’S SAFER. Look up the crime statistics here: http://houseandhome.msn.com/pickaplace/nfOverview.aspx. Talk with someone who lives thereand not a member of the Chamber. Crime stats need interpretation. The crime rate in San Antonio, Tx is high, for instance, but localized mainly in one part of the town. THE TRAFFIC WILL BE BETTER. This is a favorite fantasy that needs a hard knock on the head. In semi-resort Baldwin County, Alabama, suddenly youre on a county road with a 35mph speed limit, stuck behind a tractor with no passing lane. If its a burgeoning retirement area, road construction may not have kept up, and those charming dirt roads well imagine them during hurricane season thats right, hurricane season. Think like a resident, not a tourist. One couple I know whos looking books a motel in each location theyre investigating and stays 2-3 days to really get the feel of life there, not just visiting. I WANT TO LIVE IN A RESORT TOWN. My clients who retired to Hilton Head Island, SC lasted 5 years. Tourism has grown every year and it didnt remain such a small town for long. THE PACE WILL BE SLOWER. And youre thinking this is a good thing, until you need new flooring and the only person in the county who lays tile is booked for months. Moseying down the main street with a stop sign on every corner is charming the first two times, and try waiting 2 days to get a toilet fixed. Dont forget to check on cable too; it isnt available in some rural locations, and cell phones iffy. THE PEOPLE WILL BE FRIENDLIER. Not necessarily. Small towns can be cliquish. And suffocatingthe same 30 people at the church, at the football game, and roaming around main street. How long can you go without meeting someone new? And, as my Grandmother used to say, Everyone knows your business in a small town.” SHOPPING. You may be taking it for granted theres a convenience store on the corner and an office dept a mile down the road. If youre really out in the country, it may take you 20 minutes to go pick up a gallon of milk, and you may have to drive to the next big town for a WalMart. Will the Internet do for shopping? Supplies can be over-priced in small towns, and services limited. HOW CLOSE IS THE AIRPORT? If you move to Rockdale, Texas, pop. 4000, its an hour to Austin, a peripheral airport, and 2+ hours to San Antonio International. HEALTH FACILITIES. When my in-laws were in their 70s they moved off the Lake in the country theyd been living on for 10 years because the nearest ER was 70 miles away, and the phones went dead every time it rained. IS IT JUST A PRETTY FACE? Youll be most satisfied if you give the decision time and look beneath the surface. When I asked my friend who moved to Bermuda for a change of scene how things are in paradise, she says, Close, small stifling, and those hurricanes They wouldve been happier remaining in Montreal and traveling to the Caribbean, she says. Also being allowed to work there isnt a given, so check that out too. Her husband found a new job there, but she hasnt been able to. ROOTS. Be particularly observant if youre returning to your roots. My client who moved from Malibu, Ca to Comfort, Tx, where hed grown up, was out of there in a year. The Nubian goats on his ranch were no longer making up for Malibu?? v. Comfort, Tx?? What was he thinking? Often we find we cant go home again because it was the people, not the place, that made it home. THE JOYS OF COUNTRY LIVING. Perhaps youre expecting less lawn care and that may be true, but my client who lives in Jamul, California is sick of the dirt, bees and fires, and my client who moved to Keller, Texas is alarmed at the web worms, Nile-fever-carrying mosquitoes, maggots, and other Texas country critters. THE CHOICE: Many people move happily to small towns and are pleased; others are surprised and unhappy. If you do the research, you can avoid being in the latter group!
